April 2024 Weekly Study: “HEart”
Our weekly study in April will be different from anything we’ve done before! We’ll still do our 4 step process and focus in on a passage to journal, but I’m adding a “technique” portion of our class to go over some of my favorite ways to bring art into the margin. Each week will have a theme, verse, and technique that we’ll work through and create together.
I love the phrase “He art.” Maybe you’ve heard it before… it’s a play on “heart”but a focus that our creative outlet in the margin is God art…. Thus… HE art. I’ve decided to theme each of our weeks with a little silly play on words as well. Let’s focus on April as a month of fun… tapping into our childlike creative selves and making HE art as a response to what we learn.
April will have minimal printables (just alphas and tags/tabs) with the focus being on using our techniques to create in the margin.
As always, you do not have to create a page that uses the products and techniques that I use. We want the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you as you create, however April will be a month where I focus on using a specific technique to create what I’ve learned.
I will have a “technique supply list” with links for you on Friday, March 22nd. This list will be all the products I plan on using during the month.
Special Note: I will have 1-2 alternative options on how to still do the technique with other products that you might already have. I don’t think anyone will be “lost” or will miss out if they don’t have the “specific” items I use. I am here to help you use what you have too!

Technique: Polishes, Oxide Reinkers, Acrylic Paints
-Monday, April 15th 8pm “Don’t Blame the Tax Collector”
Technique: Watercolors
-Monday, April 22nd 8pm “Cover the Earth (Day)”
Technique: Mixed Media (texture paste, embossing powder, gilding flakes)
-Monday, April 29th 8pm “April Showers bring Reverse Coloring?”
Technique: Distress Oxides, White ink, and reverse coloring ideas
WHAT IS INCLUDED
-Access to the private Facebook page
-Facebook Live Bible Journaling Sessions on Monday nights at 8pm eastern
-Bible Journaling Digital Printables (minimal printables this month—only alphas and tags/tabs)
-List of technique products will be available upon purchase via a digital download.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
-Access to Facebook
-Inspire Bible or journaling Bible (we’ll be all over the full Bible, so an Inspire portions won’t work for this study)
-Printer for printables (or access to print at local print shop)
-Technique tools… NOT necessary to participate, but if you want to learn with us, I’ll share my favorite “enabler alert” products to use.
